Third-Party Services Disclosure

TatsuCode (available at https://tatsu.ai) integrates with various third-party services to provide its AI-powered coding assistance features. This document provides information about these third-party services, their terms, and your responsibilities when using them.

Overview

TatsuCode is designed to work with multiple AI providers and services. When you use these services through TatsuCode, your data is sent directly to the third-party provider — not to Studio Tatsu. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with each provider's terms and privacy policies.

AI Model Providers

OpenRouter

OpenRouter provides access to 200+ AI models from various providers through a unified API.

Note: OpenRouter acts as a proxy to multiple AI providers. Data handling may vary depending on the specific model you use.

Anthropic (Claude)

Anthropic provides the Claude family of AI models and Claude Code, its command-line coding agent.

Claude Code: TatsuCode can run Anthropic's Claude Code command-line tool, which you install and sign in to yourself with your own Claude subscription. TatsuCode never sees, stores, or transmits your Anthropic credentials; Claude Code communicates with Anthropic directly, and your use of it is governed by Anthropic's terms.

Access Note: Claude model access in TatsuCode depends on currently supported provider routes and may change over time based on provider policies.

OpenAI

OpenAI provides GPT models and related AI services.

OAuth Integration: TatsuCode supports direct OAuth authentication with OpenAI for Plus/Pro subscribers.

Google (Gemini)

Google provides the Gemini family of AI models.

TypeSafe AI

TypeSafe AI, Inc. provides the System One decision model (Jev), which TatsuCode uses for typed decisions (classification, routing, ranking, verification) when the typesafe-ai skill is loaded and you have configured access to it: your own TypeSafe API key, or your own OpenRouter key.

Data Handling: Requests are sent directly from your machine to TypeSafe's API using your own key. If you choose the OpenRouter route instead, requests go to OpenRouter with your OpenRouter key and are served by TypeSafe, so OpenRouter's policies apply as well. TypeSafe states that its services are hosted in the United States and that it does not train or fine-tune models on customer input. Review their policies for current terms.

Usage Note: TypeSafe's customer agreement permits integrating the service into applications and prohibits reselling access or publishing benchmarks. TatsuCode integrates the service; it does not resell, pool, proxy, or bill for it.

Local AI Providers

TatsuCode supports local AI model servers that run entirely on your own hardware:

LM Studio

llama.cpp / Other Local Servers

When using llama.cpp or similar local inference servers, all processing occurs on your own hardware with no external data transmission.

Search and Web Services

Brave Search API

TatsuCode may use Brave Search API for web search functionality.

Google Custom Search API

TatsuCode may use Google Custom Search for web search functionality.

Software on Your Computer

Microsoft Edge WebView2

TatsuCode displays its interface and its built-in DevBrowser with Microsoft Edge WebView2, a Microsoft component that comes with Windows 10 and 11. Websites you open in DevBrowser are loaded by WebView2 in a browser profile kept separate from your own browser. The WebView2 runtime is provided by Microsoft under its own terms.

Game Engines and 3D Applications

TatsuCode's plugins connect to applications you install yourself: Unity, Unreal Engine, Godot, Blender, and Autodesk Maya. To connect, TatsuCode installs a small bridge into your project or your user folder, and the bridge accepts connections only from your own computer. TatsuCode does not send your data to the makers of these applications. Your use of each application is governed by its own license and terms, and anything the application itself sends online is covered by its maker's policies.

Payment Processing

Stripe

Donations to support TatsuCode development are processed through Stripe.

Note: Studio Tatsu does not store your payment card information. All payment processing is handled directly by Stripe.

Website Services

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand visitor traffic and improve our services.

Your Responsibilities

When using third-party services through TatsuCode, you are responsible for:

1. Reading and Understanding Terms

• Review each provider's terms of service and privacy policy before use
• Understand how your data will be handled, stored, and potentially used for training

2. Compliance

• Comply with each provider's acceptable use policies
• Ensure your use does not violate any provider's terms
• Obtain any necessary licenses or permissions for your use case

3. Data Sensitivity

• Consider whether your code or data contains sensitive, confidential, or proprietary information
• Evaluate the appropriateness of sending such data to third-party services
• Configure privacy settings appropriately within each provider

4. API Keys and Credentials

• Keep your API keys and credentials secure
• Do not share API keys with unauthorized parties
• Monitor your usage to detect unauthorized access

5. Costs

• Understand the pricing and billing for each service
• Monitor your usage to avoid unexpected charges
• Set up spending limits where available

Updates

Third-party service providers may update their terms and policies at any time. We recommend periodically reviewing the terms of services you use.
